Hengyi Zhao - Chairwoman
I am currently a third-year Bachelor’s student in Actuarial Science and will start the Master’s in Actuarial Science after the summer. As chairman of the 2027 Actuarial Congress, I am excited to help organise an event that brings together actuaries from across the country, as well as ambitious Actuarial Science and Econometrics students.
My thesis focuses on asset allocation within defined contribution pension schemes, which closely connects to this year’s theme: the shift of risk from the pension fund to the individual participant. This transition raises important questions for participants across different generations, as well as for the future role of the actuary. As chairman, my goal is to create a platform where professionals and students can exchange ideas, share perspectives, and learn from one another while exploring this development.

Hi! I am Nienke, the coordinator of the Actuarial Congress 2027 committee. I am currently serving on the VSAE board as Internal Affairs Officer and Secretary. My board year has given me many new experiences, and I am especially excited to see the Actuarial Congress come together.
This year's theme focuses on the transition to the new pension system. I am looking forward to hearing how our speakers will provide new insights into a topic that affects everyone. I am confident that this year's congress will once again be a memorable edition!

My name is Nila Stam, and I am responsible for Acquisition & Promotion for this year's Actuarial Congress. As a Business Analytics student, I am particularly excited about this year's theme and its focus on the impact of the new pension law on life insurance and pensions. I look forward to exploring the challenges and opportunities this brings to the industry. Hi, my name is Karolina and I’m part of the Actuarial Congress 2027 committee. Together with Nila, I oversee acquisition and promotion, ensuring high visibility of our event and strengthening connections with our partners. I’m currently in my third year of the Bachelor’s program in Actuarial Science at UvA. In my free time, I enjoy baking and tackling a good jigsaw puzzle. I’m looking forward to this edition of the Actuarial Congress not only because of its relevant theme, but also because of the opportunity to contribute to its organization. Jolin Tebbe - Speakers
Hi! My name is Jolin, and I'm part of the Actuarial Congress 2027 committee. I'm responsible for the speakers and the overall content of the Congress, which means I help decide who takes the stage and how the programme comes together. I'm currently pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Econometrics and Data Science.
This year's Congress is about the Wet toekomst pensioenen (Wtp), the biggest change to the Dutch pension system in decades. It's a subject that really matters and raises a lot of interesting questions about how the transition will work in practice. I'm looking forward to seeing the programme come together.
